Rugby Bike Festival 22nd May 2016
What a cracking event.
It was our first visit there, and it was a great day
Cost nothing to enter, your bike became part of the event by being parked there
Lots of local traders and stalls, not the usual stuff you see at every show, and a good selection of classic and modern machines, with a few strange sights thrown in. The weather was brilliant and bands were playing from a stage in the market square, and in many of the pubs. Prices were good, (you don’t need a mortgage for a beer or coffee like some shows, we will be back in force next year
Stephen Sutton Ride Sunday 15th May
This will be the 4th run the club has supported.
With a donation generated by members, and customers of the Clock Shop, we signed in and joined the throng of bikers, and other vehicles to remember the marvellous Stephen Sutton, and raise cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Many clubs were represented, good on em.
Its great to ride en-mass with outriders to block junctions ahead of you. The weather was great, even though the clubs oracle of doom said rain was guaranteed, there was a good reception at the last part of the ride, with the residents of Chasetown decorating the streets and coming out to wave support, brings a lump to the throat.
We will be back to support next year with more club members
Good on the Off Your Butts for their help in organising, see the ride video on ssro.co.uk, or on Facebook

Weather kept well, and the ride through the lanes was cracking, this show is always worth a visit.
